WEARING; Assembly Label Everyday Tee / COS Skirt / One by Cult Gaia Clutch / Karen Walker Harvest Sunglasses in Tort

It is less than a week until it is time for me to sign off for the year and take some much needed time off. I also thought it was about time I documented this outfit that I have been repeating to death (All of you on Stories know it)

I found this skirt in COS when I was down in Sydney and it originally didn't catch my eye as something I needed in my life. Then I imagined - summer, white tee, straw - it had to be mine. So naturally I have been wearing just that. This skirt with every Assembly Label Tee I own and any of my straw bags (See full Straw Bag Obsession Here).

This wooden bag from ONE by CULT GAIA is something on a whole other level. I learnt this morning that my mum owned something very similar in the 70s, in which I proceeded to wish she was a hoarder so I could have saved $100.

This probably isn't the first time you have seen this outfit and it definitely won't be the last. Just how I like it.

I thought it was about time I got my but into gear and created a gift guide for you all for Christmas.
This is one of those guides that has got me saying 'one for you, one for me' As always my guide has a mix of my favourite brands, but with a focus on small businesses. As one myself, I know how much the love and support of all of you at this time of the year means to small business. By shopping small you are not only telling the big chains (ripping off small designers) that it's not cool (and neither are cheap trends) but you are also supporting those who are working their butts off through the festive season and making this time of the year magical for them. I know my favourite part of the day at this time of the year is writing out and packaging up all of your special orders.

So this year I have broken the guide into a few different themes, mainly because I am anal about colour coordination but also because I imagined the themes as different women. So we have..

This woman is slightly feminine but with an edge, she doesn't take herself too seriously.

As you know over falling in love with their Chubby sticks over a year ago, the last six months I have been lucky enough to try out a lot of Clinique's beauty and skincare. From which I have some of my all time holy-grail products which I now swear by (I am looking at you moisture surge range) but I wanted to start with the foundation that really made its mark - the Superbalanced Silk.

Especially in Brisbane, summer days range from 30 degrees and up so I like to have something that feels really light weight with a finish that isn't too dewy (the humidity takes care of that) or too matte. For me it is ticking every box for summer. It is that perfect light to medium coverage for really evening out your skin tone and texture for a silky finish. It even has SPF 15 in it for those in-between aircon moments.

For colour reference my skin can change colour quite easily depending during the summer time. I go from working inside all day and matching 02 Silk Shell, but once Christmas hits and I take time off I am usually outside a lot and needing Silk Ivory.

When I was down in Sydney not that long ago I also picked up an amazing tip from their Global Colour Pro Artist Damian Garozzo. Keep two shades of your favourite foundation in your drawer. A winter and summer shade. Then to achieve the perfect soft contour when your skin is lighter, use your summer shade to lightly bronze the parameter of your face and cheekbones.  I have been trying this ever since because we are now officially in summer, but I am still stuck inside so I want to still match my natural skin colour but add some warmth into my skin. It is a great way to softly contour for a natural look.

Sometimes with products I will have tips for applying it, but I have used a flat top kabuki, an Artis brush & beauty sponges and they all work really well in my opinion.

You can find the foundation online at Clinique  & In Store or through their retailers.

I would love to know if you have tried it below and what your thoughts are!

This post was created in Collaboration with Clinique Australia. Needless to say, all opinions are always my own.

I am so excited to be writing this blog post, so excited that this is probably been one of my worst-kept secrets (I am looking at you Instagram-Story-Watchers) Last month I started getting restless that my favourite season was here - Festive Season. But going into my third year working for myself, I don't get the christmas perks that some love and some love to hate. I wanted to be able to get into the spirit with those who are around me while I work.... *cricket noises* Then I thought of you guys.

We may not be getting drunk at a christmas party together but I do talk to you nearly everyday, I vent to you, ask me questions I have probably already answered (don't worry I won't hold it against you) and you see me with weary eyes so I guess that is as close I am going to get to a co-worker at this point.

So late at night 12 Days of Jasmine was born. It was a mixture of Oprah's Favourite Things and Secret Santa sort of. So let's break down how it will all go.

It will run from Dec 1 through to Dec 12

Each day at 7am AEST (Note I am in Australia) a new Giveaway will be announced
If you are in a different timezone turning on post notifications for 12 days might be the best bet

Once the day's giveaway has been posted you enter by:
- Liking the Image
- Comment & Tag a Friend or Lover
- Be Following my account.
* One entry per person per day

You have until the next giveaway (in 24 hours) will be announced to enter that day's giveaway. Comments entered after 24 hours on a post will not be eligible entries.

Some of the giveaways will be open to International entries and some will be restricted to Domestic. Please check the captions on each day's Giveaway for details.

I will be drawing winners on Dec 13 & will be contacting winners via Direct Message.

As for what the prizes are and the brands on board you will have to just wait and see! I am sure most of them won't be a surprise to you because you will have seen these products on me throughout the year. I am so so thankful to all of the brands that are participating, I wouldn't have been able to do it without them. They are the real Santas and I am just an elf so make sure to show them some love throughout the 12 Days.

Any prize that is size-dependant will be organised with the winners so you get the perfect fit.

I cannot confirm that prizes will arrive before Christmas but we will be organising them to be delivered as soon as contact has been made. All decisions are final.

Anyway I think that is all from me for the moment. I really hope you are all just as excited as me about the 12 Days & the best of luck!

The 'It' Bag is normally crowned to a flavour of the month designer bag, appearing in nearly every street style image, stalking you online making you want them more and more. I often question the sustainability of such an expensive designer item being something of pure trend. As much as I have loved some of the passed 'it' bags, I couldn't bring myself to splurge after it has been given such a title.

Recently though the 'it' bag has been something different for me, but something that I have realised I have a real weakness for. That is the straw/wooden bag. More suited to those of us in the warmer months but for those not, now is the time to get prepared.

My love affair started with a vintage market bag that my grandma was trying to get rid of under her house nearly two years ago. Since I have added (don't judge me) A large drawstring straw beach bag, Woven tote, wooden shoulder basket bag & a wooden geometric clutch. Yes, I know, no one needs that many straw style bags but I swear they are all for different situations! Reading that last sentence back, I feel like an addict. Even writing this post, I got the itch for more.

So if you share my latest addiction.. I have listed my favourites online at the moment. But you must also check out your local antique centre (or your nanna) because you can find some gems. ps. A lot of my favourites & bags already purchased were from Shopbop & they are currently offering a Spend & Save deal with the code GOBIG16 at checkout. So your bank account can thank me later.
